Nurse attendant — 24-hour cover
Cover right through, overnight included. For anyone at risk of a fall, prone to wandering, or who needs turning at night.

Everything the attendant does, plus the clinical work: wound and bedsore dressings, Ryle's and PEG feeds, catheter care, prescribed injections, IV lines.

A booked shift is not emergency care
If someone is struggling to breathe, unresponsive, bleeding heavily or in severe chest pain, call an ambulance on 108 or get to the nearest emergency room. Booked shifts are scheduled care. Never use one to wait an emergency out.

Why families book this a fortnight early
The roster fills from the earliest bookings
Every household on your street loses its help in the same week. By Chaturthi morning we are usually placing whoever is left, which is nobody's idea of a good match. A fortnight's notice gets you a choice.
An attendant is trained. A nurse is qualified.
Attendants handle transfers, positioning, hygiene and feeding for bedridden and post-operative patients. Dressings, tube feeds, catheters and injections need the nurse tier. Ask for the wrong one and we'll say so on the call.
We plan the roster around the processions
Roads close across the city for days, and the last two are the worst of it. We know which lanes near you shut and when, so shifts start early where they have to. If one is genuinely at risk, you'll hear from us the day before.
Questions, answered
Do I need an attendant or a nurse?
Hygiene, turning, transfers, feeding, mobility and company: that's the attendant tier, and it's the cheaper one. Anything clinical in a normal day — a dressing, a Ryle's or PEG feed, a catheter, an IV line, prescribed injections — needs a nurse. Describe the patient's day on the call and we'll tell you which.
What does 24-hour cover actually mean?
The patient isn't left alone at any point, overnight included. Whether that's one person living in with rest breaks or two rotating shifts depends on the nights. Someone who needs turning every two hours is staffed differently from someone who sleeps through.
Why are festival rates higher?
Our attendants and nurses are working through Ganpati instead of being home with their own families, and they're paid for it. The rate also holds your slot in the week our roster is at its thinnest.
How far ahead should I book?
Two weeks before Ganesh Chaturthi is comfortable. The whole city wants the same ten days, so the roster fills from the earliest bookings. We'll still take a late request. You'll just have less choice.
Can I book the same person for all ten days?
Usually, and we try to by default. Continuity matters more for an elderly patient than almost anything else on this page. Mention it on the call and we'll hold one person across the block.
What if they don't turn up?
Call us and we send someone else the same day. There is an office to ring, which is most of what you're buying over a neighbour's phone number.
Will they cook or do housework?
No. Hygiene, mobility, feeding, vitals, and on the nurse tier the clinical tasks. Household work isn't something our staff are trained or insured for, and where families do mix the two, patient care is what slips.
Is this only for Ganpati?
It's built for Ganpati because that's when the whole city's help leaves at once. The same cover runs through Diwali, Christmas and the summer village season. Call us for any stretch when your regular nurse is away.
